Kelvin is a sincere guy, repaired my fender player strat bone nut, restringing and tone knob. He also did extra work without asking for extra payment to adjust my saddle nicely to improve the string action. Will come again if my guitar needs any repairs!

Got my pedal fixed here! They did an amazing job at fixing my pedal despite it being an old model and especially complicated to fix.originally gave me a very affordable price and still kept to the same price even the the fixing process ended up being way more time consuming and complicated than the price quoted originally.honest and great store! Kelvin has been servicing my guitars for years - as an amateur guitarist I wasn't too sure of many things. Kelvin has always been very happy to teach and guide me through, and enthusiastically sends me updates of my guitar when I need repairs or a setup. Diligent and skilled in his craft, patient and not condescending. Really glad to have luthiers like him around - please do support him! He provides all sorts of repairs as well as initial setup for new guitars.

If you are looking for rare and vintage guitars in Singapore, go check out Guitar Connection. He is Singapore's version of "Norman's Rare Guitars. " It's like a guitar museum with Fender vintages from 50's and 60's. You can get guitars at a bargain vs buying from Reverb - not only are you not paying for 7% GST, shipping or taking the risk of damage during shipment, you can test it out before buying it vs just looking at pictures!

But be reasonable, most of the guitars there are second hand/ pre-loved. Always ensure that you check and test it out so you will be happy with the purchase. I made so many mistakes on this (e.g, cracked neck plate, cracked neck, not age correct parts) and I only learned when I got the guitars home - so INSPECT, INSPECT, INSPECT! TAKE YOUR TIME!

Guitar connection is a very important part of the gear ecosystem in SG. Pre-loved gears find their way to new owners via Kelvin. And he has done so for many years! As an owner, you can get some money back or better, trade up to get a better guitar! I can tell you this, there is no other shop here in SG (based on personal experience) which gives a better appraisal of your used gear period.

Lastly, I can say that all the feedback you saw, whether positive or negative, are accurate. Go there with an intent to buy (and budget), you will be fine.

Was recommended by my guitar teacher to find Kelvin from Guitar Connection to set up my Martin guitar and I have no regrets. I only expected my guitar to be get the basic set up (readjust the action and change strings) but Kelvin went out of his way to make sure that my guitar is really properly done up. There were other repairs he had to do to the guitar along the way which required a lot of work but he did it for me without extra cost and told me that its better to do things right instead of taking a shortcut and getting a subpar repair hence now my guitar really feels comfortable to play and sounds great! Would highly recommend him for your guitar needs, timeline of repairs is reasonable and prices are affordable as well.
