Ok, we've put a pin on all the better fried hokkien mee in Singapore.and they tend to be scattered around the central/ Southern parts of island (TPY, ABC, Beach Road). This one has always eluded us, and we're glad we made it here. Yes, this is the wet version and particularly satisfying for those who likes the flavorful stock. We prefer it drier so we let the noodles sit for a while to absorb the stock. Won't say it's the best fried hokkien mee.but certainly gonna be back for it.particularly for its proximity (to me).

A hidden authentic traditional Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee stall, located at Hougang Hainanese Village Center. This stall owned by an elderly couple, serves one of the best Hokkien Prawn Mee in this area. The noodles were well fried with a perfect amount of wok hei. Rightly moist with the right amount of saltiness, and crispy pork lard, the taste was heavenly. Prawns used were fresh and crunchy too. Do remember to mix The noodles with their homemade belachan chilli, as it will give the noodles that extra punch in the overall flavour. It's definitely recommend and worth to try this Hokkien Prawn Mee when you are here.

I'd say that the fried Hokkien mee here tastes above average. But is it the best I've savoured? I'm sure it isn't. Ingredients-wise, it's kept to the old school mix of small cooked prawns, sliced sotong and pork belly strips, and yes, chives. That's what makes it taste old school, I guess.

Awesome plate of hkm.owners were pretty grouchy but this more than made up for the lack of service.the crispy lard and sambal at the side really elevated it.

Is this stall use to be at the extremes corner before the market is renovated? I was here close to 22 years ago, and i remember trying it, and that was the best i ever had.

Quite good. Almost like the famous one in "Kallang Airport" hawker centre. Nice chilli.

My whole family love this flavourful hokkien mee. It is moist and tasty. Have eaten it for at least 20 years. Not much queues too which is a surprise.

As good as it gets. Noodles are on the drier side but Uncle is good with the wok, while Auntie is good with the people.

Been patronizing them since I was a child and this is the hokkien mee that I always go back to. Aunty was as grumpy back then and uncle cooks up the better plate of hokkien mee (pro tip) It's so worth it to order the $5 portion instead of the standard $4 - you get so much more and it's more satisfying Aunty and Uncle work really hard and whip up a mean plate of noodles with sotong, prawns and crispy lard. So good that I stay up thinking about the next time I get to eat their noodles when I'm posted overseas. Definitely worth a try if you're in the area!

I actually frequent this hawker centre almost everyday and don’t normally don’t patronise this stall as I don’t see anyone ordering from it most of the time. But after reading all the reviews on this stall, I decided to give it a try and to my surprise it is really delicious. The noodles were soft but not mushy and the prawn broth were completely absorbed by the noodles. And this stall still gives the standard ingredients of prawns, squid and sliced pork (which we seldom see in the dish now). The sambal chillis given were pretty spicy but subtle enough to not overpower the savoury noodles. Do give this stall a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Wow, I love the Hokkien mee sold here - it is slightly on the wetter side. The uncle puts so much love and effort in his frying and you can taste how delicious it is! He fry small batches and that’s how he ensures the quality of each plate!
The chilli is good. If you can take spicy, mix it in and squeeze the lime to give it a even greater flavour lift.
They have 3 prices - $4/5/6 and I always get the largest portion to share. Try it!

Not a big fan of Hokkien Mee, but this was really good. Was there on a late afternoon and only a few handful of stalls are operating, Blue Star is one of them. It comes in 3 sizes, $4,5,6. The hokkien Mee was moist and has robust flavors.the Sambal chili was nice too! Compliment the noodles well.

蓝星 Hokkien mee is definitely the no 1 in my opinion. I have tried 南星,Toa Payoh 天天来 etc. 蓝星 still the best
Please ask auntie for dry one. Try it. It’s very good.
