Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice reviews
33Best Chicken rice for us here in Singapore. We will schedule time to go here for our family. I dunno what the other reviewers are thinking maybe it is because of LKY pics they give bad review. Honestly to me is very good my friends and me enjoy it. They have optional organs for purchase and serve ginger, chilli and soup with the chicken rice. Prices are super reasonable and best deal is to buy half chicken or whole chicken with a few plates of rice more enjoyable. I am disappointed with the reviewers of others don’t know what they are thinking. Anyway go try and find out yourself. That is best opinion must eat chicken rice place for me. Always consistent. Too bad when I came lots of items already sold out at 4 pm, missed my roasted chicken, steamed just as good any way. Still endless queue finishing up their stock at this time. Imagine lunch time queue. Don’t sabotage good business and give honest reviews.
Chicken is tender but rice a bit hard though still have the authentic local chicken rice flavour. Chilli is good. Reasonable price. Should try if nearby.
Good chicken rice, no bone like they promised, looks less but actually quite filling.
I recommend 4.50 Chicken Rice with Egg + 0.80
Bad attitude uncle.
Found only chilli packets to go with my takeaway chicken rice. So I asked for ginger and then black sauce. He made a fuss why asked one by one. That was because one by one I discovered those sauces not included. If the stall lays out the packets there or proactively ask if we need, then no need to ask one by one.
Chicken rice so so unlike last time.
Ordered half a white chicken home.
Hahahah for 2 pax. We didn’t look at the packing process.
There was soy sauce over the packed chicken. And the portion looks v suspiciously little.
I mean, the chicken breast looks like it’s only 1-2cm thick as if a 15 cm ruler. It’s simply really not half.
Have been eating this chicken since years ago, and honestly their quality and quantity dropped. When we ordered half chicken, the serving was only enough for two, with only a thin slab of breast meat. Abit of a scam, when I have eaten from other chicken rice shops and this is not half a chicken is like
A pity that their standard dropped, and no wonder the neighbouring chicken rice stall is striving for their consistency and quality.
Will only order if I just want 1 serving of chicken, not order this way again.
Taste good.chicken is moist and rice is fragrant.special queue for those ordering whole chicken, bypassing the normal lane that can be quite long.
Prices displayed and prices quoted are different, especially if you do request for certain parts (non drumstick).
Yup and that is the reason why I patronised them just once. First and last.
Staff are old folks who are extremely grouchy too, like I should not give them money for the meal as I am too Low class and I have interrupted their day dreaming.
Absolute rubbish of a franchise.
Should absolutely boycott them.
So rude and cheat customers of money. Portion is a joke. Keep it up and soon your business will close.
Rude service and average taste of chicken rice. Uncle serving me don’t even give a chance for me to explain my orders and just ask for the price of my chicken rice, and just rushing to take orders.
Not upfront and transparent with pricing. It's a matter of principle and not the cost that is the turn off. Taking advantage of people who are chin chai is their way of exploiting their customers.
Ordered the $4.50 chicken rice. Rather rude aunty at the store. As for the portion, let the photos here speak for themselves.
I've grown up eating hawker food and had my fair share of older folks with a grumpy demeanour.
The auntie serving the customers trumps them all with her rude tone and choice of words. I emphatise with her colleague serving the chicken
This is my first time to visit the Bedok branch.
The aunty using such terrible attitude to talk to customers, before I start order she just become arrogant, after food comes I just ask kindly to make sure bill total and she said “$10 lah! ”
What a “great” first impression, I just read many reviews below and I can’t understand why such rude person still employed at that branch!
Saw the elderly staff not wearing his mask properly when serving customers. Mask does not even cover the nose at all and they constantly use their hands to wipe their sweat before touching the food AND money that they handle without washing their hands.
Now we know why Omicron spreads so quickly.
An absolutely average plate of chicken rice. Honestly, anything worse than this shouldn’t exist.
The rice - slightly cold, dry and not particularly fragrant. The chicken was tender and the sauce that goes with it is fragrant and flavourful. The chilli was terribly salty without adding any real value as it lacked a punch. The soup was mostly bland.
Overally, reasonable for $2.50. Would definitely not pay anything more.
This Review is for December 2020. Well order a $4.5 chicken rice. The chicken meat was tender. However. The RICE is the WORST i EVER eat on the spot! It is HARD. I guess either their rice cooker got problem OR they did NOT put enough water into it! Customer service was okay to me. Anyway if the rice is still the same standard, then sorry i am going somewhere else to have my chicken rice @ Bedok area.
Average tasting chicken rice. Meat was dry and tough. The ginger sauce was so watery it didn't have much flavor to it.
Used to take away half chicken from this stall because it's cheaper than the other stall. Once I was given a less than half chicken portion, gave them the benefit of doubt and order from them again, same. From then onward I have been buying from another stall. A bit pricier but portion is consistent. That is why people would rather queue at the other stall than to buy from this stall, shame on them for cheating your customers.
You don't expect 5 star service or Japanese hospitality at a hawker centre, but the attitude of the uncle here was terrible enough to spoil my lunch. He heard my order wrongly and when I requested a change to what I actually ordered, he blamed me and said I spoke wrongly.
Rice was also undercooked and sauce felt a bit too salty. Chicken was tender.
