Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice reviews
33 Bad attitude uncle.
Found only chilli packets to go with my takeaway chicken rice. So I asked for ginger and then black sauce. He made a fuss why asked one by one. That was because one by one I discovered those sauces not included. If the stall lays out the packets there or proactively ask if we need, then no need to ask one by one.
Chicken rice so so unlike last time.
Ordered half a white chicken home.
Hahahah for 2 pax. We didn’t look at the packing process.
There was soy sauce over the packed chicken. And the portion looks v suspiciously little.
I mean, the chicken breast looks like it’s only 1-2cm thick as if a 15 cm ruler. It’s simply really not half.
Have been eating this chicken since years ago, and honestly their quality and quantity dropped. When we ordered half chicken, the serving was only enough for two, with only a thin slab of breast meat. Abit of a scam, when I have eaten from other chicken rice shops and this is not half a chicken is like
A pity that their standard dropped, and no wonder the neighbouring chicken rice stall is striving for their consistency and quality.
Will only order if I just want 1 serving of chicken, not order this way again.
Prices displayed and prices quoted are different, especially if you do request for certain parts (non drumstick).
Yup and that is the reason why I patronised them just once. First and last.
Staff are old folks who are extremely grouchy too, like I should not give them money for the meal as I am too Low class and I have interrupted their day dreaming.
Absolute rubbish of a franchise.
Should absolutely boycott them.
So rude and cheat customers of money. Portion is a joke. Keep it up and soon your business will close.
Not upfront and transparent with pricing. It's a matter of principle and not the cost that is the turn off. Taking advantage of people who are chin chai is their way of exploiting their customers.
Ordered the $4.50 chicken rice. Rather rude aunty at the store. As for the portion, let the photos here speak for themselves.
I've grown up eating hawker food and had my fair share of older folks with a grumpy demeanour.
The auntie serving the customers trumps them all with her rude tone and choice of words. I emphatise with her colleague serving the chicken
Saw the elderly staff not wearing his mask properly when serving customers. Mask does not even cover the nose at all and they constantly use their hands to wipe their sweat before touching the food AND money that they handle without washing their hands.
Now we know why Omicron spreads so quickly.
Used to take away half chicken from this stall because it's cheaper than the other stall. Once I was given a less than half chicken portion, gave them the benefit of doubt and order from them again, same. From then onward I have been buying from another stall. A bit pricier but portion is consistent. That is why people would rather queue at the other stall than to buy from this stall, shame on them for cheating your customers.

Yesterday after dinner there me and my gf have diarrhoea. Don't know is it the chilli or the chicken itself their food preparation is unhygienic the food is not as clean as before. After we see the review 2.7 is low service also bad.
Avoid this place at all times wonder anyone have the same experience.
Deserves a ZERO.
Be careful. Avoid during peak periods. Staff is the rudest I've ever seen in my life.
Chicken portions are small. Don't be taken in by their photos with the famiLee; service and portions are better at the other chicken rice stall in this market.
Uncle if u reading this you need to take a chill pill.
Paid 4.50 for few more pathethic strips of chicken. Ask the uncle to add rice only to find he add half a bowl while giving me to bochup face when complaint. Total paid 5 dollar for a plate of chicken rice that you could get for 3.50 next door. 1/10 for the poor service attitude.
Albeit average chicken rice, poor service attitude and unkind.
Loved eating the chicken rice but the attitude of server has successfully steered me away from visiting again. Pity.
Lee Kuan Yew and Lee Hsien Loong did not dine at Tong Fong Fatt chicken rice, the owner deliberately put up the photos of them when they were making their rounds at the area. It is to mislead potential diners
Tried their roasted chicken rice recently. Rice was rather blend and the meat was too dry and hard.
The price displayed was $2.50, but the auntie only touts prices of $3.50, $4.50 and $5.50. Not going back again.
The roasted chicken is dry and hard, while the rice lacks fragrance.
They should also be honest about their prices as they charged $3.50 a plate, despite indicating the price as $2.50. Upon query, the staff shared that the standard size costs $3.50.
Rude service and average taste of chicken rice. Uncle serving me don’t even give a chance for me to explain my orders and just ask for the price of my chicken rice, and just rushing to take orders.
This is my first time to visit the Bedok branch.
The aunty using such terrible attitude to talk to customers, before I start order she just become arrogant, after food comes I just ask kindly to make sure bill total and she said “$10 lah! ”
What a “great” first impression, I just read many reviews below and I can’t understand why such rude person still employed at that branch!
