First time buying a electric bass guitar. Staff were super friendly and approachable. No one tried to hard sell me anything. When I told them I'd be lugging my purchased amplifier home, they took time to make a handle with raffia string so my hands wouldn't hurt to carry it. Pleased with overall experience: D

Within half a day of my inquiry via WhatsApp, I had a new guitar delivered to me personally by Sarah, all set up perfectly according to my requests. I asked for strings which they did not stock, and Sarah even offered to purchase it from a neighbouring shop on my behalf!

This may be the friendliest and most personal service I've ever received from any shop, ever. Thanks for an excellent experience!

Dropped my Yamaha acoustic guitar for a setup (action was too high) and I picked it up the next day. The guitar is way more playable now. Excellent service: reasonable price and friendly staff.

Third time dealing with Sound Alchemy. They are very responsive on Carousell, and also offer good advice and solutions. Going to their store gives you a cosy vibe, and the young chaps who work there are also patient and pleasant to talk to. Overall good experiences here.

I just got a guitar a day ago and it was not proper. When strumming, the string vibrates and as it is too low (mechanic issue) it hits the frets and create an annoying noise. The bridge pick up also is wabbly

Was shopping for a bday gift for my dad, specifically an acoustic guitar as I knew my dad was keen to restart on playing guitar. There are many guitars shops at Peninsula and we narrowed down a few options. What really impressed me was the effort the staff took to explain the differences between the models within my price range. I am a complete novice and the guys were very helpful during the whole interaction. Everything went smoothly, and all in all, my dad is very happy with his new guitar. Thank you Sound Alchemy.

DON'T TRUST THIS PLACE; absolutely unethical; took advantage of my lack of knowledge in guitar which I've shared when I asked for help in my first purchase.

Sold me a guitar set of poor quality and I've no clue only after months later! Strings on guitar were already rusty and in black - I had trusted the shop to sell it to me in the right condition, and pack of new strings that came with the set is already rusty when opened now.

Brought it back, found out that saddle was too high and they filed it - all my months practising in extra pain and not knowing! Insisted to be paid extra, then, waived off as adjustment was supposed to be done during first purchase.

Now, saddle filed too short by its part-timer/s, and gives a buzzing sound. Shop is horrendous, put me through much drama and frustration - their staff who served me during first purchase said he has temporary stopped working for the shop and wanted to do the extra to correct the wrong etc because he's the one who served me… got cancelled twice and… fast forward, shop manager changed its tune, turned obnoxious and blocked me on its fb messenger.

My guitar is still damaged by them.
Ain't returning to redo anything! Better to place trust elsewhere and pay the extra for their mistake!

Went to the store to buy a bass guitar for my sister. Kelvin was helpful and answered all my questions

Hubby and I went there on Feb 9,2021 to check & shop only for a beginners/intermediate guitar. The salesperson (we forgot to ask his name, sorry), hopefully his name is Aaron Lim as on receipt, is nice, helpful and considerate with all our never ending questions. In the end, we manage to buy a guitar although hubby is quite choosy. Items are on sale, too, it helps a lot to choose and buy. And now happily playin with my first guitar. Thank you for the good customer service.

I contacted Sound Alchemy via email a few days ago with a rather strange request. I wanted a Yamaha THR30II Wireless guitar amplifier but I could not physically come down to the store or pay. To further complicate things, i was stuck on a ship off Singapore due to the nature of my work but Sarah arranged an alternate form of payment for me and even had it personally delivered to my agent. There aren't many things to look forward to when you are trapped on a boat due to COVID 19 restrictions put in place but this made my day. It arrived the day after I made payment and I must say that these guys are efficient and have excellent customer service and support. Thank you Sarah and the Sound Alchemy team.

We went there on 6th nov 2020, intending to find a left handed guitar. One heavily tattoo (my bad for not asking for his name) present looking staff was attending to us with great patience and hospitality (explaining to us certain thing on amp). We didn't buy anything in the end as they do not have what we need but this staff left us a good impression.

Took my guitar in to be fixed. Helpful staff, fast service and reasonable price. Couldn't ask for more and would recommend anytime.

Was roaming around Peninsular shopping centre to find a beginner ukulele for myself. End up buying here as a I find the service is great and ukulele qualities is good and within my budget. Both of the male staff who served me are very patient and nice.

We never thought we would come home with a guitar but we did! Happened to pass by the shop and was enticed to enter (all thanks to the friendly faces). Like many of the reviewers here, Kelvin was a true star!

The lady is very knowledgeable of the products being sold, spending a long time to answer all my questions.

She patiently waited while I try out many guitars from acoustic to eAcoustic and even let me use the amplifier to test out the sound for the eAcoustic guitars.

She did not rush me to buy anything from the store when I was indecisive and was very welcoming and polite.

Bought a YAMAHA FGX800C there during sale.

Came here to fix a fretboard buzz issue on the bass, and the dude with long red hair patiently helped to identify and solve the issue. The guy then explained how the issue was caused by the truss rod bending when exposed to humidity and temperature changes, and proceeded not to charge me as he said it was a very minor fix. I am very grateful for the help received, and would definitely recommend Sound Alchemy in the future.
