Ocean Curry Fish Head

This place is a scam and dishonest; the china uncle especially is extremely STINGY. I received only a small serving of tofu (1 small tofu) and two small size prawns. When I asked for more portion, I was given five prawns and one side of vege but charged $10 (see picture attached). And despite that crazy price, I left unsatisfied and still hungry.

I didn't have the fish curry but the mixed rice was very average with inflated prices.

Sadly now the ladies scoop so little. Last time for me to come by then. See you stingy place. It stinks!

Staff are rude, half a curry fish head cost cost 28 plus GST the fish head basically are all bone, with a few PC of brinjal

Total rip off. Easily more than double the price of average economic rice, taste is only average. Will never patronize again

Remember it to be better. They have a good selection but taste is subpar and overall pricey. If you insist on trying, go off-peak as its really not worth queuing.

One of the worst places you could have lunch. I'd advise you not to do yourself disservice and head elsewhere.
The food is alright, the fish head curry is average and I really could not find any points about the signature dish that actually warranted praise.
The sambal cockles were overshadowed by the sambal and you'd barely taste the delicate irony sea salt that cockle lovers go for.
The service was unforgettably.terrible! The staff were hostile and openly rude to customers and made us vow to not return.

Fish scales were not removed. Curry is bland and has bitter taste. It has lost its spiciness and sourness that tingles your senses.

Complained about the rice portion and ask to add a bit more. The service staff then tried to sell me another portion. When i asked her to compare my serving with the another customer next to me, she kept quiet and went on to add the rice to appropriate amount.

Bad customer service. Discriminate customers that don't order fish curry.
When we arrived, there was an empty big table, we were told we cannot take the big table (fair enough).
Waited for table for 4, but when the table became available, we were told we cannot take the table as we don't order fish curry.: (

Extremely dishonest staff that overcharges 2 times in 2 different visits. I would take the first time as an mistake but 2 times on a separate occasion? Please ask for a bill when dining there. Beware of the lady cashier.

Very crowded during weekday lunch, had to stand around waiting for seats around 15mins and whole place was tight, squeezy and hot. Food was very average, fish head curry was not very fragrant and abit bland. Gave $50 and forgot to collect the change. Went back but the auntie insisted she returned us the change, and to check CCTV if we don't believe. Did not bother as I had no time and it was just $10+.

Very expensive. Food is alright but overpriced. And staff hurrying you to finish your food so they can clear the table. Overall, an unpleasant experience.

The food's alright, the lunch time crowd, narrow passageway and the cramp seating was terrible. What made is worst was the horrendous service from the grouchy staff who would be seen yelling at customers and telling people off.
Wouldn't recommend the place given there's no lack of good food around the CBD

I dun like the mutton rendang.kinda too tough and not spicy.chicken curry a bit sweet and not hot per my view.for the fish curry, they are unable to drench my rice as the reason given this is not the normal curry.the sambal kang kong and stir fry vegetable toufu was not badd

Was a bit dissapointed as heard so much review and was recommended to this shop. The fish head we had was not fresh and the meat tasted like it was cooked 2nd round. The curry was lemak style and ok. The rest of the dishes was ok like any other economy rice shop nothing fancy.

This place food is not tasty not comfortable, and no air conditioning. Overall, dont come here this place. I recommend you go to the cafe beside this.

Food is still good/ tasty.but some we're served cold.not quite what you'll expect from Ocean curry fish head.

One of the better tasting caifan stalls out there in my opinion. There is a large variety of dishes to choose from, though I must say the options skew heavily towards meat and seafood, with rather limited vegetable dishes to choose from.

Taste: I think they can rival the usual zichar stalls because most of the dishes are well cooked, ingredients are fresh and tasty.

If you're dining in, the curry fish head is a must try too.

Always a long queue at lunch but it moves fast.

Good variety of dishes to choose from for Cai Fan (杂菜饭）. Taste is not bad too. My goto place for 杂菜饭 in CBD.
