Guitar Workshop reviews
28Went to set up my guitar. Owner was honest and only recommended modifications that were necessary for my guitar.
One of my favourite shops in Singapore. Francis will help you find what you need. In the past 16 years I have got most of my equipment there. Good place for custom work and repairs too!
Max helped me to setup the acoustic guitar. I seldom purchase from carousell, and regretted buying this used guitar (that looks very new) from carousell because the action is too high (strings were too far from the fret). Sometimes what you see is not what you get, it's better to personally go down and purchase a guitar. By the way, I am very satisfied with Max's service and workmanship, he also helped to replace a new set of strings. Now the guitar looks like new! Max is also a friendly guy. Thank you.
I went a month ago, and got such a good vibe from Jay. I came back a month later, and was treated in a friendly and professional way. The price was reasonable, and I will be back. Thanks man.looking forward to seeing your work.
Had my acoustic guitar setup by Jay. He was very friendly and informative. He shared a lot of knowledge as I watched him work on my guitar.
The guys there were nice to oil my fretts for free after installing my humbucker covers!
And gave me some advice on self maintenance!
Very nice people.
Would come by again when I need guitar parts installed!
I went to Guitar Workshop for the first time to setup my acoustic guitar.
I was really impressed by Jay. He was really friendly and knowledgeable on how to setup my guitar.
He recommended what gauge strings I should use and after setting up, it was really easy to press the strings!:) No more tired hands pressing chords cos my action was too high!
I highly recommend this shop:)
A "customer" sitting in the shop offer help to change string for me FOC and I end up have to pay service fee to the shop. Of course I know changing string need to pay but the so call "customer" offer help to change otherwise i would have go to other shop which charged cheaper price
Special Thanks to Mr Francis Poh from guitar workshop. For a wonderful and perfect setup and guitar heat treatment. I'm loving it
The boss Mr. Poh is nice and friendly. He shared alot of knowledge to us and how to maintain our guitar well.
He also provide professional guitar maintenance service!
Such a hidden gem to discover!
Boss here is friendly and kind, we have alot of laughter here while boss poh sharing his guitar maintenance experience.
It is highly recommend to send ur guitar here for maintenance or just get a new one:)
Personalize advice compare to buying at retail shop
Came here to have the electronics modified on my Les Paul electric guitar. All was performed well as expected. Recommended.
They charged me $100 dollars when the problem wasn't fixed with my guitar. Later I asked other guitar technicians and they said that the problem is too severe that any decent technicians wouldn't even take the job. If there was a 0 star or a negative star I wouldn't hesitate to give them. They are also unbelievably rude.
A pleasure to do business with. I bought a used PRS guitar from him and he, on the spot installed a new set of strings, completed the setup (including truss rod adjustment) and demoed on a clean amp to throw out the beautiful sound of the PRS; he also showed his talent on the guitar! Francis is a guitar pro, is honest, friendly, gave me a fair deal. Hope to deal with him soon!
Overpriced stuff and service. GreyTempest, Waxguitar services, luthiery SG, and Tekhnikal Difficulties all offer alot better for way less.
Called in to ask about trading in an old guitar for new, spoke with a super friendly guy called Francis over the phone and I knew I was gonna buy from him regardless cause he sounded so genuine.
Walked into the shop and wasn't disappointed one bit. Very nice and good vibes the moment you walk in, Francis, whom I later found out is actually the boss and his staff were so friendly. And he is just a really accommodating person that I got everything I needed in 15mins, a new guitar within my budget. Thank you and happy to have uncovered a local gem!
Went in today to fix fret dents. Tech who attended was Jay and he made a simple and direct diagnosis on what my guitar needs which is much appreciated. Its a nice and cosy environ of a guitar shop that's akin cheers the TV series. You get to know each other and you chat up about the obvious topic of guitar and music and you keep coming back. Much different experience from the big boys in the market.
Walked around all the shops in the area and liked this one the best. Nice atmosphere and very friendly and cool owner. Bought a cheap second hand acoustic here and got free strings and picks.
Owner as well as their tech specialist was very accommodating. Tech was so helpful that he even personally sourced out for some parts which were not readily available for my guitar. Set-up was great as well.
Had a misunderstanding regarding the setup of guitar. Got a call from the owner to settle the issue. Thanks
