38My fav bbq stingray location. Be early else book your seats. Else do not bother going as most seats are reserved and patrons there drink a lot after eating so its rather difficult to wait for turnover seats.
Still as nice as before. 1 of the best grill stingray I had. There were almost like 5-7 differ brand of beer sold there. So the place is quite crowded. The dishes go best with beers. Cheers!
The stingray is very fresh, smooth and juicy. Their sambal chilli is not the very spicy kind, so it’s good if you have a lower tolerance level for spicy food. The grilled crayfish is very nice. Enjoyed their prawn and sotong too. Must eat these with beer!
Hidden away in this HDB estate is the 2nd best BBQ fish in the West (I haven't found the best yet).
MUST ORDER DISHES are the jacket fish (not always in stock), grilled prawns and ladies finger. I personally always order without the sambal chilli paste to get the best original flavor but that's up to you.
They offer dabao too but it's just not the same as having it fresh and hot on the spot with a mug of beer (you've got lots of options to choose from). See you guys on 13th June!
The pan-grilled seafood here is a must try if you ever come around Jurong West. Always bustling with people, enjoying their grilled prawn topped with sambal, paired with beer.
The seafood here is very nice! Especially the sambal stingray! Really one of the best in the west of SG
Always great taste with affordable pricing, cannot get anywhere else and any better. Flavours of my younger days
Friend intro us to come here and he actually call the boss to reserve table. I was thinking it's just a Coffeeshop in a ulu part of the West need to make rsv? I was wrong, the Coffeeshop was packed! Almost all tables were eating BBQ. The Fish & Seafood were very fresh, and you can find many kind of fishes here. To be honest the Sambal really not nice at all. Ask for non-spicy better, and you can taste the freshness of the seafood.
Very good value for money if you want to whack some good quality fresh seafood yet not breaking the bank. Highly recommend the stingray, lala, crayfish and prawns! Environment can be very lively at times! Good varieties of beer at the coffee shop to go with the seafood.
Even the ladyfinger was good. Enjoyed the stingray (and its chilli) and the crayfish. The crayfish price at 6 or 7 each.
Food is pretty good at a reasonable rate. The food are not served on a hotplate though. Its served on normal plates with banana leaf.
Very good BBQ seafood and tze char, plus the Western food looks good too.has rojak and satay to complement these delicious food too.overall, the food stalls here are good and is shown by the fully packed tables here daily.heard need to reserve tables for meals here!
One of the best seafood chilli bbq for me. Well cooked. However portion of fish has decreased over years while price goes up.hahaha.but i still die die must go
1 of the best bbq stingrays. Fresh fish with thick n sweet flesh coupled w chilli full of omph. Can also choose to tabao and the aunty will nicely wrap in aluminium foil n banana (?) leaves.can get abit oily w the tabao tho. Nonetheless highly recommended
Chili sauce not as good as it suppose to be for BBQ hotplate. There are better BBQ hotplate at Boon Lay Place Market and Food Village. The stallowner is also not friendly towards customer. Thumbs down.
I have had bbq stingray at many, many different places all over Singapore. This is one of the very best, definitely top three. Very well grilled with nice barbecue flavor, and a sambal that is just enough spicy.
Best BBQ! You will be able to test the natural sweetness of the various fishes when chilli is placed aside!
