YUAN Porridge & Handmade Noodles 源 粥品・手工麵

Ordered their preserved egg + pork congee with a fresh egg. Really generous with their ingredients and condiments - thick slices of meat and chunks of minced pork, freshly fried shallots and spring onion. Tasty and comforting. I was attracted by their old school signboard that listed all of their food items, glad to have tried this!

The porridge and noodle soup are sooooo good and tasty! The soup broth is cooked early in the morning without MSG, very homely-taste! Moreover, the lady boss is very friendly and hardworking. I can eat this everyday! Hidden gem in circuit road.:)

Everyday there's a long queue. The food is just ok. However the lady owner is friendly, calm and patient!

There are people smoking nearby and the air is very toxic there. Food is average. Will not recommend people to visit there.

Important is go to the lady, order your Porridge, go sit down, when is ready she will call for you.when time 15 to 20 minutes. Saturday Sunday, longer waiting time.

I have been eating her porridge since I was really young. Every weekend, 15 years straight, without fail. YUAN porridge is my all-time favourite breakfast. The taste of her porridge is so tasty that I always crave for it every single time I travel overseas. 100% recommend

Hidden gem. Old school porridge stall. Had the fish porridge which comes with batang fish (mackerel). Not the Cantonese style with smooth grain, this is with grainy grains that's more filling. Overall very comforting bowl of porridge. Love the rustic environment of the food centre. Especially nice to have on a rainy weather.
