Ya Kun Kaya Toast

The bread slices were toasted to a crispy texture and everything was delicious, if a bit too sweet.

We came around 11am on a Sunday. Long line to order but food was ready quickly. They were out of many items on the menu and all tables were dirty with crumbs and spills.

Kopi was good but I found 3 long white hairs in my eggs and kaya toast

Toast set was all good and filling for a breakfast. You can choose to sit indoors (where it's air conditioned) or outdoors.
It’s self-service in terms of picking up your order and clearing your tray after dining in. I might have been there during peak hours and short-staffed period so the staff there were a tad bit hasty and loud, so it’s not your typical coffee shop with a quiet environment, that's for sure. That said, it’s still a neat place for grab-and-go. If you like being immersed in the local coffee shop scene, then this is your go-to.

I like the steamed toast and the coffee is better without sugar. A female customer shared with me that it tastes less sweet and I am not used to eating eggs. The service lady is patient and has a good attitude.

It's a chain eatery famous for its kaya toast. Locals prefer this over toast box. We arrived in the morning on a weekend. Firstly, this is one of the few establishments that is open on Sunday in the area of ​​business skyscrapers, and secondly, it was difficult to find a table. You can sit outside or inside. The menu is as simple as three kopecks: different types of toast, soft-boiled eggs and coffee. Classic kaya toast with butter, a portion of two eggs (the cashier will take them out of a vat of boiling water for you, break them into a bowl and give them along with the receipt. And the toasts themselves will be brought a little later. In a word, the perfect classic breakfast for minimal money

Feels like a great local China Street hang out with what you see is what you get in sweet toast, eggs and tea for a great breakfast!

The meals are cheap and authentic, and they are delicious, but if it is crowded, you may need to wait for 20-40 minutes.

Typical tourist trap, with the complete package of rude and arrogant staff, can't be bothered service attitude and borderline food quality. Would not recommend unless you are willing to receive the whole package.

After visiting so many of their chain and franchise outlets, I have to try the original. The place where it started from a traditional coffee shop to a common household name for kaya-butter toast.

Overall, I enjoyed the toast and beverage. I came with a full stomach but could still finish whatever I ordered. I am highly impressed of their consistency in other outlets.

Food was good as usual. But i went yesterday and the lady who served me probably has some hearing issue. I clearly asked Set B and yet she served me with Set D. I repeated my order 3 times. Hmmm. Wierd though. I also ordered steamed buns and tech C and told her not set meal, yet she placed a set meal order for me. Anyways, it is probably that particular lady, doubt it will be that bad. Will be going there today again.
