Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice

Useless stall from hell. Stay away from the evil stall that have demon staffs who gave very poor and bad attitude towards the customers especially elderly. Hope that it’ll get to demolish very soon and get very very fewer customers. May the great Karma will come to you everyday you opened the stall.

Today 5-2-2024 11.40am had ordered one plate of drumstick chicken rice from tong fung Fatt fernvale hawker and it cost $5.10, I gave the staff two $2 dollars note, five $0.20 coin and one $0.10 coin, the moment I pass the all money to the staff, he commented “wa give me coins I got to count and saying that so many people queueing I got to count the coins”, I raise my voice and told him is it your staff don’t accept coins, if yes u should stated clearly on your sign board. I very angry and told him I don’t want to eat your food and said don’t eat fine and return me all the money to me. So I go prawn noodle stall (see attached the receipt) and they accept my coins without question ask. Take note that the stall of the picture I took and the stafff (old man) is the one who attended my serivce

Disgusting attitude from stall owner.

Ordered half a chicken for $13; told cashier I was going to pay $10 using CDC; and $3 separately. She said okay. Proceeded to scan the QR paynow and made payment. Upon seeing the paynow confirmation, she looked over to the infamous "Mr Grumpy" uncle and muttered several words.

"Mr Grumpy" came over and started barking on why I did not pay CASH for the outstanding payment. Kept on insisting that if you partial pay using CDC voucher, remaining must be paid in CASH ONLY. I then asked him, "if this was a requirement, why didn't your team inform me when I was making payment? ". He retorted that I should have clarified with him before even paying, and then went on a long rant. (just to note that I have never ever encountered any issues with buying meals via half CDC/ half paynow with any other stalls).

It's unbelievable how "Mr Grumpy" can consistently find new ways to annoy and frustrate customers. Like what others said; patronizing this stall is a good way to cultivate your zen/inner peace. To those that wishes to accept this challenge, I believe it will make you a better person.

The only Chic Rice stall at hawker so no choice, most people will still eat cause chicken rice is comfort food

Service is horrible. If you not able to cope with mobile order then you can choose not to turn on.

A few times walking towards to collect, uncle will act busy drinking water.

Was served by a very rude uncle at counter. I ordered 2 packets of $3 chicken rice (As my parents are elderly and eat little, so decided not to waste food and go for the $3, the economic one. Was stated on the menu).
Apparently this uncle attitude was very bad, hostile and l'ooked down' on customers who buy $3 chicken rice.
If the stall owner think that $3 dont earn much, then please dont put it in the menu!

Very slow. Cut one chicken like need to catch the chicken first. 5 workers in stall. 1 cutter, 4 eye power. Chicken is on a smaller scale so dont expect much in terms of portion. Ordered half a chicken which can roughly serve 4-5 pax.

Actually I bought several times in this shop until one day I encountered a very rude and no manners crew (the gangster guy) plus the Uncle in the counter I am very upset because a lot people queuing behind me but they still have time to make fun and do a stupid thing which is they said: At first the uncle asked me if take away or eat here so I said EAT HERE then the 1 crew behind him saying EAT HERE! Twice (like they told me eat here infront of counter) I didn’t heard that at first cz I have a hungry kid plus a baby waiting for me cz thrs no table all occupied. I was thingking seriously you want me to eat infront of you! Then I realized the stupidity of them I told them wahhhh ofcourse eat here in HAWKER CENTER! Use your common sense! Thrs two choices only TAKE AWAY OR EAT HERE! ! Even the food is nice if the people behind those foods is not accommodating and stupid the bussiness is not good. Better pull out them. If they still there I will not go back And buy! Not Recommended Very disappointed!

Loved this franchise on gimmoh, so decided to buy from this branch, but how wrong am i, the attitude is 180 deg from the gimmoh stall, better replace all the staff or close down

The uncles are extremely rude and impatient like u owe them a living.

There was a slight queue when i went, so perhaps they think they can afford to be arrogant.

After this bad experience I went to the Tong Fong Fatt stall at Teck Gee and the chicken was moist and delicious with very fragrant rice. The Uncles there were polite and even offered soup which this Fernvale branch doesn't!

The boss should really take a look at the 2 uncle staff here and consider removing them.pronto!

The standard at this stall is not as good as the other Tong Fong Fatt outlets at Ghim Moh, Kovan and ABC Market. Chicken meat is quiet stiff and not fragrant.

2 Uncles working at the counter have a serious attitude problem. Missing orders frequently, becoming impolitely, and becoming agitated. Whoever the boss is, please look into that and demonstrate the proper way to treat consumers.

Run by gangsters, I got sworn at for doing absolutely nothing wrong. This group of miserable men deserve their own company all day, you deserve better food.

We paid a whole chicken but we can only find one wing.clearly the portion is not a whole chicken.

Ordered half a chicken and the portion of meat was so little. Good thing I asked for the drum and wing to be kept intact. The attitude of the staff behind the counter could be improved and the taste of the chicken is not as flavorful as that of their other outlets. For the price paid, I will not recommend patronising this stall as there are many other options available in this hawker centre.

Rip off. $4.50 chicken rice like $3 portion. Uncle taking order has attitude problem. Buying chicken rice like owe him money.

Avoid! Ordered only 1 packet of chicken breast + egg for my kid ($5.30). Reach home no egg. The rice and chicken looks pathetic, like only half a packet of a regular chicken rice from other stalls! No wonder when I took it felt very light and thought to myself why so light. Uncle who took order have bad attitude and uncle who pack the rice like unwilling to give chili. Customers in front of me have to ask for chili, when reach me he asked me if I want chili. Maybe they wanted to save on the chili too on top of not giving customers their complete order.

Added 2 dollar meat, literally added 3 slice of flatten meat at max. No difference from buying normal plate just paying more. Food taste also normal. Chilli and chicken sauce too salty. Chicken meat too hard and chewy. If price is at hawker rate, ok to try but no. Its too ex at hawker. Nowdays hawker is no difference going to foodcourt at town area. Even town can be cheaper and more worth it.

Ordered white chicken rice takeaway, add rice and add chicken = $7.50?

I do not mind paying $7.50 for additional rice and chicken but quick question. Does this look like added chicken and added rice?
