Tiong Bahru Bakery reviews
46This bakery is a hidden gem that captivates your senses from the moment you step through its doors. The combination of a delightful fragrance that permeates the air and the outstanding quality of the baked goods make this establishment a true haven for pastry enthusiasts.
The vibe is good, friendly and welcoming staff, a very chill place to hangout with friends, there’s self service counter for you to get water and the cutlery.
Ham and cheese Baguette - baguette was way too hard, it makes me hard to believe that it’s a bread because I couldn’t even cut through with the knife.don’t recommend it.
Almond chocolate croissant - the croissant was not bad, stuffed with chocolate filling and topped with almond slices, a bit too sweet.
Latte - the latte art was not bad, but coffee tastes just okay.
Price is average, pastries and cakes seems not bad, but nothing special.
The pastries are delicious and the coffee is made well. Hot on arrival. The staff are courteous and they know their pastries well. Definitely a place to go back from time to time.

Good start to the new year with a nice breakfast at this cafe. Good coffee, nice atmosphere and warm friendly staff.
Overrated. Had no choice because the other cafes are full. My second (and hopefully my last). Absolutely no value for your money. Coffee is atrocious (twice haha) and the pastries are impossible to justify the price. Not sure what the youngsters see in this place, perhaps the ambience? The service is above average. That's about it. Sorry
Food was nice.bit ex.but i was ok till i need to tell them there was a housefly also patronising inside the croissant glass caninet.u need pay attention to basic hygiene please.
Our go to place for breakfast or afternoon tea. Nice and comfortable ambience to enjoy the company of friends or family. Wide range of coffee and tea with both cold or hot to your preference.
This beautiful little corner in Singapore has a fantastic little bakery. The service was exceptional, The bread was absolutely delicious. They have a wide variety of sourdough and baguettes, as well as other sandwiches and delectable morsels. The ambience is at the same time relaxing I'm relaxing and upbeat. I definitely recommend this place.
Chocolate & Sandwich Croissant is just right and satisfying breakfast for me at around 10am, Chocolate sweetness is just right too!
Bad experience at Tiong Bahru Bakery Eng Hoon St! Really bad customer service! The waiter let the other customer to take the table that was already reserved by us. Lousy service!
Bakeries are fine, but operation is not very sophisticated. I don't understand why it asks people to que up even though employees seldom check. Had to stay in a que, and eventually entered only after I asked if I can get in.
They have probably the best croissants in Singapore. Priced reasonably and the sizes were about 1.5 times bigger than most bakeries. Fluffy and delicious. I especially love the original croissant, pain au chocolat and the green tea croissants. Usually need to queue if you want to dine in. Otherwise takeaway is fine since they packed the pastries nicely.
I prefer this Tiong Bahru bakery to the newer one in funan. The coffee tastes nicer and so does the bread and also the overall feel is better. Bread + latte on a weekday morning
Visited one evening and i had the kouigh amann and hojicha latte! Croissants are consistently great and i absolutely love the boldness of my tea! It’s just sad that it was discontinued at raffles city.
Prefect for breakfast n lunch.has huge variety of selection, and choose the bread of the day, it wasnt a dissapointment, it taste so gooddd, we ordered 4 n didnt expect to be soo fulling, the price was also affordable
We ordered their butter/chocolate croissants almost every weekend! This is my favorite place in Singapore for a good quality croissant! We usually have it delivered and always had a positive experience. We have ordered their lavender earl grey tea on occasion (which is delicious) and was still hot and in good condition upon delivery!
Super Fresh delicious Baked Products - really enjoyed the Croissants! Also tried the mixed Take Away Box - great option for a picnic by the beach!
Told to wait outside for coffee in the scorching weather by this guy. Not coming back at all. Lols
My friend and I visited this outlet yesterday. I wanted to give feedback on the following:
1. Before entering the premise and sitted down, the staff who is in charge at the door didn't check us if we are fully vaccinated and didn't check if we scan check in or not. As a diner, I wanted to feel safe while inside taking off my mask. There are a lot of customers came in for dine in and they really didnt even bother to check if they are fully vaccinated. We were sitted at the table beside the main door that is why I can observe it. Please do something about this.
2. The staff are not welcoming.not even one, greeted us Good morning or Afternoon. They are always in a rush and not giving us time to decide what we want. One staff forced us to qeueu immediately to the counter, another staff at the counter rush as to decide what we want to order (it's my first time and I wanted to have a look at everything first before deciding what to get). I understand its busy but isnt that your customers are entitled to a good service, besides we are paying for A service charge? The cashier is very rude as well. Tell me WHAT DO I WANT" I said I want an Ice cofee, MOCHA. And i said i only want regular size (we were doing cafe hopping in this area amd I dont want to get full immediately). She answered me with a raised voice, " ALL SIZES FOR ICED ARE 1 ONLY". Hello Miss Cashier, is that how tour answer a customer? Your team doesnt know how to handle pressure when it gets busy and they are dumping that feeling to their customers.
3. I ordered Brie mushroom croissant and green tea croissant, the brie mushroom is overpriced. The green tea is good, the Iced Mocha is ordinary. They put a lot of ice that makes the drink tasteless.
