Tangs

Tangs is an excellent place to shop, with a pleasant environment and most importantly friendly, capable and helpful retail staff to assist. I must commend Angelia Ng who went out of her way to help to carry a bulky storage bench we bought to the car park where I was parked. It was a delightful shopping experience from beginning to end.

My fave dept store. The staff hv been there like old faithfuls & know their products. Their homeware in basement is excellent.

Amazing colognes and good deals very good niche fragrances like angels share and creed recommend for niche lovers (expensive price point 630$ for aventus creed)

Their take on peranakan food. Nice ambience, cheerful & friendly staff. Noteworthy dishes- burnt ends (charsiew nicely charred), squid & Yew teow rojak, their signature nasi lemak & juicy satay, just to name a few. However imo, their desserts maybe need a little work. Altogether had a lovely Sunday lunch.

I am extremely honoured and pleased to be served by such warm, confident, product knowledge driven caring sales assistance who ensured I was comfortable with the fit to style, size, and even colour of the bag I needed. She went all out to even rendered assistance in asking me to think of my essemtials and daily needs and be sure that if the bag was worthwhile to suit my items like water bottle laptop and my kids stuff. She asked me to try putting them in and carry. Only should it work and is of comfort then think purchase.

There was no pressure. She was wise and professional. Sincerely a commendable. I truly appreciate and value such service from heart and her kind assistance. CK Tangs and Cabaia you have a gem. Thank you.

Over the weekend (30 Sep), I reserved and bought a pair of Ecco HELSINKI 2 shoes & Reef sandals with the helpful assistance of your friendly and helpful staff, Ms Yeong Ecco). I wish more customer service staff were like them (and her Tangs colleague, Ms Siew Mey).

Always the consistent and good old fashion way to browse and shop. A refreshing break from online shopping.

A giant department store that has a wide range of shops, ranging from cosmetics to clothing to restaurants! This place is conveniently located next to orchard mrt, and is near lucky plaza bus stop.we would definitely recommend coming here to check out some of the unique items they offer!

Their online store SUCKS. Ordered something to be delivered on Dec 5. It is now Dec 9th and nothing has been delivered. Nobody answers the phone, and the email they give doesn't even work. Hard to believe this is a large established company when such simple things don't work.

My friend and I went to the perfume section to purchase a last minute birthday gift at 8.50pm yesterday and the promoter- Steward was very patient and helpful. At 9pm he went around all the cashiers at L1 to ask if we can make payment. Unfortunately all cashiers were closed. He brought us down to B1 to make the payment. I asked the cashier if she can help me gift wrap, but she said it is the promoter's job. (Not sure if she wants to brush it off so that she can pack up and leave work).
Steward brought us up to his perfume section to help with the wrapping even though it is already 9.15pm. To add on, it was beautifully wrapped.

Negative star for online delivery.wasted time waited for delivery and the delivery did not reach.and then came one day late without informing and left at the door. Do online purchase at your own risk.
Did the pick up at store also. The items not there at the selected timing and there is no notification not to go down since the items are not ready.

Lesson learnt. If need anything from CK Tang better go and buy from the store. They are not ready to do online.

Tang’s existed “forever” I don’t know when they first opened shop but I’ve been shopping here since I was a kid - that’s almost 50 years ago! The place has an old heritage feel to me, prices always seem to be slightly more reasonable than other stores in the area and their personnel have remained very courteous. Take your time to shop and you’ll def find some value buys here!

All six of us agreed:
Nice, cool and bright environment.
Coffee and Chendol were good.
Satay was well marinated and grilled; tender and tasted good, but not the sauce.
Hakka Yong Tau Foo was good, but not the chilli sauce.
Fried Kway Teow, like steamed kway teow.

Shoutout to the super lovely lady at the JBL counter at Level 3. Nice and friendly with my Endurance Run Bluetooth earphones purchase. She helped me connect and check the earphones and even gave me Comply earphone tips as a gift! The cashier lady was also nice and kind offering to check my Tangs membership even though I told her I haven't used it in a while. Overall pleasant experience shopping experience. Sorry, I didn't get your names. But you ladies made my day.

Went to tangs buy water dispenser, the staff (aunty lucy) very friendly person. She also explain every details about the usage of water dispenser.

As a family, we have been shopping here since the 70s up till today. Love this place which has reinvented itself through the decades to keep up with the times.

Lovely place to shop and dine. Nice clean layout. Very convenient. Few mins from orchard MRT station.
