We dined at skirt on New Years Eve 2023 for the four-course degustation menu and paired wines. Acknowledge that this is a steak restaurant and we are vegetarian, but the lack of effort from the chef for the vegetarian menu was appalling. The only thing more disappointing than the mediocre food, lacklustre wine selection and eyewatering prices was the service from the staff. Initially moving too fast through our courses (and pouring second glasses of wine while we were still finishing the last) to rush us from the table - the head waitress proceeded to sulk after we politely asked if they wouldn't mind slowing down a bit. Quite painful, but not inconsistent with the substandard service across the wider W Hotel.

Used to love SKIRT, but not the biggest fan of the revamp. The food menu has been revised, good news is they still have Skirt cuts.however, the food I had wasn't that amazing. Also the freshly baked focaccia has been replaced by sourdough. It's a good sourdough, but I miss the focaccia. Price wise, its very reasonable with Love Dining privileges, but sadly I wouldn't go back for the food.
The place looks a lot brighter inside now, but has lost that traditional steakhouse feel. It feels like a contemporary restaurant now and I don't mean it in a good way. Perhaps i am just too big a fan of the original concept and menu.

Highly recommended for a nice dinner with friends/family! Service is great, staff are attentive and they use gloves which is such a nice touch given the post pandemic times we find ourselves in.also, the pace of food is good! Should try it!

Service and ambience were excellent. I would say the steak was ok. Nothing spectacular. Hence the 4 stars.

I was looking for a restaurant in Sentosa to organize a corporate group dinner 4 days before the event. My family were at Sentosa for dinner, and we drop by W Singapore Sentosa Cove to view SKIRT restaurant and it was past 10pm on Saturday night. I was amazed with the warm welcome by Edmund, Anis and the staff to view the indoor and outdoor of the restaurant. We discussed about the event and got it confirmed the next day.
Our Corporate Management and foreign visitors were so happy and satisfied with the ambience of the restaurant, classic table set-up for group of 11pax, awesome food, and excellent superb friendly service from Edmund, Roy, Anis, Sylvester, Irish, Tracy, Sharon, service staff and all kitchen staff. Highly recommended for family and corporate group dinner. Thank you all in SKIRT restaurant, great job!

I choose the restaurant for my dad’s 76 years’ birthday. Have dined here numerous times before and this being my son’s “favorite place to eat steak”, it was an easy decision and we were all looking forward to the experience. However, despite booking almost a month in advance, and specifically requesting a quiet table for the special occasion, we soon found out we were allocated possibly the worst table of the restaurant - at the very end of the corner, facing the cocktail bar and the exit door to the outdoor terrace and lots of waiting staff in and out the whole time and noise from the cocktail making. We booked the 6 o’clock and by the time we finished around 8, the restaurant was barely half full. I scratch my head trying to understand why they couldnt have given us a better table!

Now onto the foood.the grilled octopus was half undercooked and half slightly burned and frankly didn’t taste all that fresh. The crab cake was mediocre at best and certainly not the kind of quality you would expect from a 40$ appetizer. The 900g tawmahark had at least 450g in bone and we barely got 2 pieces each among the 5 of us (one being a 6 year old). It was also not the quality you would expect from a 240$ dish. Staff was polite enough but seemed lacking the experience and attention to details that one would expect from steakhouses of this caliber.

They were nice enough to offer us a complimentary ‘cake’ however the size is of a quarter oh well.

Overall a very disappointing experience with below average food quality and below average service for restaurants of this pedigree l. We have certainly had better and even my 6 year old no longer consider this his ‘favorite place” any more. I dont think we would be ever coming back again frankly with so many other better steakhouses at our doorsteps. Shame that the quality of Skirt has deteriorated so much since i first visited maybe 8 years ago. Adios Amigos.

Very disappointingly average experience dining at Skirt, which I was hoping and expecting to be much better in terms of ambience, food & service.

It took a while for my partner and myself to be seated initially. Decór was dirty and dated. Temperature was freezing inside the restaurant - So cold that my partner had to ask for a shawl.

The Dry-Aged and Wagyu Steaks we ordered were okay. Cooked fairly well but very average in terms of quality, flavour and taste. The A5 Wagyu was very fatty without the nice marbled type of fat. The Dry-Aged steak was much better all around for me.

Sides of Truffled Mac & Cheese and Kale were decent. I wasn't overly impressed with the wine selection offered. The Malbec was okay, with the French option pairing much better with meats. The portion sizes weren't bad overall. We didn't stay for dessert as a result.

$450+ for our courses, including two glasses of wine without the Amex Love Dining Offer - Which is offered with Platinum Cards ONLY!

I wouldn't recommend visiting SKIRT unless you have this or another equivalent discounted offer. Book a table at CUT, Bistecca or another other similar level steak house instead for a better experience.

For the price, the food was overrated. Meat got pretty cold very quickly. Quality of the meat was so-so compared to many other places.

Service was just okay. Could be much better

I’m not sure why this place has a rating over 4? For the price, there are definitely better steak restaurants (i.e CUT). Definitely a tourist trap.

Celebrated wife’s birthday here. Had a really awesome experience overall!

Appetisers:
- Bone marrow (unique but way nicer than we expected!)
- Mac n cheese (awesome with chunks of lobster)

Steak:
- 21 day aged Black Angus ribeye (awesome, loved the taste.medium-rare)
- Tajima Wagyu tenderloin for the Wife (medium, super tender and flavourful)

Wine:
- Argentinian wine as recommended

Overall, great food, ambience and experience! Maran was awesome and we appreciated his advice during the selection of food!

Had the Iberico tomahawk which was excellent and the steak rib eye. Very attentive service from Tracy and Roy. Good food recommendations from Tracy. Pricing is right for the value and quality of food. We were not made aware of the 20% discount we can get as Bonvoy platinum members, despite linking the booking to the hotel though. Do remember to check in with them if you are a bonvoy member!

Fantastic experience with really top of the class service.

We picked this place to have a romantic dinner and we really would like to give a shout out to the service staff for their exceptional attention. As we rarely eat steak, we inexperiencedly chose a cut of steak (the butcher's cut) that was on the tough side. As a result, we returned it to the kitchen (most of it untouched) and ordered the Japanese wagyu steak which was really flavourful and tender. At the end of the meal, we were prepared to pay for both steaks but the staff only charged us for the Japanese wagyu steak. We were pleasantly surprised and really thankful as this was really out of the norm. We will definitely come back here to celebrate our next occasion!

Also the corn ravioli and fococcia bread was amazing!

The ambience was good. Service was impeccable. The steak was good too. Large portion, so it is good for sharing.

Disappointing for what should have been a nice family dinner.
It is really disturbing that a supposedly 5* restaurant condone the practice of asking still or sparkling water and catch diners off guard, only to be charged 25dollars for 4pax for still water. Should normal tap water not be offered in Singapore as a country with clean, drinkable water?

The whiskey aged tomahawk steak was excellent. The flat iron steak was also nice. Most appetizers were nice except the octopus which could be better.

Again, I am not sure why the lady recommended the bone marrow for appetizer when the tomakhawk steak is served with one.
Souffle was what we were really looking forward to. Unfortunately, it was a let down as it was rather dense, and has not risen properly and was only served with a scoop of sorbet. As souffles go, this is certainly not great.

Please be more professional and not pull a con with water. You ask before you serve another cocktail. But you do not ask when you keep topping up still water at like 12 dollars per bottle? Acceptable practice?

Wagyu steak was super tender, rich in flavour and juicy. Value for money when used with the AMEX promo!

I was in a party of 3 and we ordered 1 starter to share, 3 mains and 1 dessert to share. Just nice for all of us. Food was excellent. The bread served at the start was amazing - hot, crispy on the top and soft and inviting in the middle. It was served with an amazing duck fat butter. We had 2 amuse bouche throughout. A heartwarming potage soup at the start and an apple-whiskey juice just before the mains arrived. Both were so yummy.

We ordered the Burata & Watermelon to start and that was delicious and refreshing! For mains, we ordered the Sweet Corn Ravioli (delicious but could do with a smidge more salt), the Pork Tomahawk (comes with mashed potatoes) and the Fish of the Day (it was snapper for us). The pork and fish were grilled to perfection. My favourite was the pork and we will order that again the next time.

For dessert we ordered the chocolate souffle. Everyone loved it! Such a good ended to a lovely meal.

Service was great. Tracy was our server and she made good recommendations for food and wine. Once in a while she'd check on our table to make sure everything was alright.

Great dinner! Will come again!

Had dinner there. The Bone marrow was interesting and unique. But the Tajima Skirt (Wagu) was a huge disappointment. Don't order that!

Specialty in grill. Food is top notch. Even the bread is delicious! High price. Good for celebrating a special occasion.
