Andrew is definitely one of the most talented contemporary keyboardists I have ever known.
Fun fact - he is a self taught musician!
It's a really a joy watching him play the keyboard.

With the school for 4years, it’s a shame didn’t continue. Having zero music knowledge and a day I decided to pick up a new hobby learning piano with the school. Initially choose this school is because of the strategic location. After joining I find the staffs and boss here are also very friendly and responsive too.

My teacher has been super nice and patience with me, his lesson is enjoyable makes me look forward for my lesson every week. One feature I really like about the school is it allows student to postpone lesson and do make up lesson which is very helpful for me who travel often.

Lastly it would be great if the school can service the digital pianos at the practice rooms as many of them are already faulty: p

Throughout my search for a piano class for beginners, PBE has caught my attention by its teaching principles of learning music through listening. The course is conducted in a way that I can learn how to play my favorite songs immediately since those songs have been simplified to fit my level. Theories are introduced at the same time, but the thing is I don't have to do boring finger practising and feel more motivated to learn as seeing myself inching on being able to play songs I like. The teacher is very encouraging and friendly as well as the admin lady. I like the fact that I can use the practice room to review my lessons. Coming to the course fee, it is quite reasonable to me for a 45min one-on-one lesson ($40+ per class) as I was once caught off guard by how expensive this kind of class could be at another music school in Katong mall which is frequent by lots of kids and their parents.

Awesome, I get to sing and play all my favourite songs. Simply love this, highly recommended for piano fans.

Learning how to play the keyboard with them has been a pleasant experience. My instructors have been kind and friendly even though I'm a slow learner thus making the sessions enjoyable for myself. It's great for adults who are trying to pick up a new hobby. The counter staff are also nice and friendly too.

Great syllabus and superb teachers! Tons of improvement even after one lesson. Will definitely recommend anyone interested in learning contemporary piano and vocals to try it out for themselves at PBE!

Firstly, I want to thank teacher John for helping my boy to achieve another new height in his music journey. We are very impressed with his dedication and patience throughout. My boy has become more motivated to try out new pieces on his own. The staffs in PBE always extend extra support to us whenever we have query about music. PBE is not just another music school, but it's a music school that truly ignite your music talent! Thank you PBE.

I’ve always wanted to learn the piano and I’m glad I finally did it with PBE. My only music background was very elementary organ lessons when I was a kid, so it’s as good as none. And 3.5 years of lessons later, I could actually do a simple jam session of my favourite pop song with my piano instructor! I love the lessons at PBE as it’s very carefree and you get to choose the pieces you want to learn. The environment is very conducive and during pre-covid times we could sign up for vocal workshops as well! I missed those! Thank you PBE! Oh and I bought my own digital piano through them too! Thumbs up!

I have been taking pop piano lessons at PBE for over 3 years, and I'm thankful to have met teachers who are passionate about music and the instrument (s) they play. They are also genuinely interested in the student's progress, and try their best to customise lessons to help the student learn most optimally but at their own pace. I would definitely recommend the school to anyone who wishes to pick up pop piano!

I would like to thank Andrew for his kind understanding to accommodate my request for schedule changes. His “can do” and positive attitude makes PBE a very friendly environment. When I have a question for him, he is always patient to take the time and give a detailed explanation.

I have learn a lot from Taro on playing piano using lead sheets and he is always encouraging me to try new improvisations.

I have been attending classes with PBE since 2017 and the experience has been exceptional. I managed to refresh my memory on music theory with immediate practice and learnt improvisation techniques that sped up my learning process in playing any song by ear. I was certainly impressed with the progress I’ve made since.

I'm grateful to my teacher John for being patient with me throughout this experience, Andrew for his passion in teaching and giving his best to all students and the whole friendly staff of PBE.

Had 3 lessons so far, and have nothing but a great experience. Everyone is so welcoming. The school is so cool! Its almost like an art exhibition.
I had my ABRSM grade 3 when I was young, but i could never play a proper song. Their syllabus is quite different from the traditional style, they teach how to use 'random' chord patterns for my left hand to accompany the song, which is really very effective for me to start playing again. With just 3 lessons, i have already learnt 2 songs. They have an entire library of pop songs as well to choose online, and they are mostly updated! Very impressive.i highly recommend to anyone who really wants to learn how to play the piano esp.if you think you don't know where to start, this might be the right place.

PBE is the best music school ever! I’ve been learning pop piano here for 2 years + and will definitely continue to do so:)

The instructors here are very kind and friendly. They are super patient, talented and even the reception staff go out of their way to assist. It’s like a big family.

I started as someone who couldn’t play the piano at all (zero musicality, couldn’t side read, couldn’t clap on beat, etc). After 2 years of training, I can now play basic songs, side read without help and identify tempos of songs correctly.

I would highly recommend PBE to anyone who is looking for a fun and engaging environment to pick up or train your piano skills.

I have learnt in play by ear for 4 years plus since year 2015 from Jurong Branch to Bugis Branch.

I started learning in play by ear as I realised that I need to learn chords and accompaniment (a different styles from playing classical songs) in order to be an accompanist in my church. Since then, I have learnt from Siti and my journey continues and finally I'm able to be an accompanist in church.

Personally, I think play by ear is the best school to learn pop piano and pop songs with a structured syllabus to follow and experienced pianist like Siti. So, students can be expected to learn different pop piano playing styles for different purposes like playing solo, accompany their vocal, improvisation.

I also like the workshops held by PBE as it gives me a different insight into music. And I also attended the annual student performance held a few times. It is fantastic as we have performance at Blue Jazz cafe in 2019. It is an open eyed experience for students.

Lastly, the online lessons are effective also and definitely it will help you progress well during CB period with the help of teachers.
