Isetan Scotts

A supermarket in B1 used to be one of my fav because they have exotic selections that I always enjoyed to explore but not anymore. This is what happened to me on Nov 2023 evening, I was at the entrance where they usually displayed some beautiful fruits, some big apples caught my attention, as there was no clear sign or indicator of the apple, so i picked one up to take a look.
And immediately there was an auntie rushed out from nowhere and talked to me in an unpleasant way - hey miss, this apple is priced at S$45 each and we had another apple that is S$10 each you can check out.at that moment, i was in a complete shock that she assumed i should not touch that premium apple based on no clue? Maybe i didn't wear rich enough from her tone? Of course i didn't react to her unpleasant reminder nor spend S$45 to buy that apple.i decided to post here to remind all who are not glamorous enough to skip the counter at the entrance and go straight in, there are many other fresh fruits inside with a much more reasonable price that we deserve.

Bought a Pacsafe neck pouch which is entirely RFID safe at Isetan Scotts. Good for traveling. Wow.they are now carrying loads of different types of bags. Fm small ones to large. In fact the bags dept is overflowing. Hahaha.

The gentleman at the chicken/pork fried pattie counter provides excellent service. He ensures that your food is made hot, cuts it.if desired and packages your take-out with care. We purchase dinner here each day along with baked pastries and fruit juices for next morning's breakfast.

Very rude staffs mostly old locals who aint equipped with relevant customer handling skills sets at Isetan supermarket. Staff will tell tou do not open the eggs to check if it is good condition (ie.cracked or no). However, they have double standards! They actually allow customers (alot of aunties) to open plastic boxes of fruits (kiwis, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, grapes, cherries) and kept touching with their filthy fingers (some could probably have covid or some weird skin diseases). It is downright nasty to know that a trying to be upmarket supermart educating customers to not open boxed eggs but rather allowing filthy customers to actually touch the fruits’ skin which whoever purchased it will actually be eating those touched filthy fruits’ skin!

It is quite disgusting and uncultured of a japanese supermarket to allow such things to happen at Isetan!

The only few Isetan in Singapore. Clean n neat n well stocked. Very nice shopping experience.

There is a well-arranged selection of brand specialty stores, and there is not only one restaurant, but also conveyor belt sushi and tonkatsu on each floor, so you can enjoy a taste of Japan.

Management needs to train staffs to speak politely not just to customers but to everyone around them! Witnessed the cashier at Level 2 (short hair chinese lady in her late 40s-50s) speaking rudely to a promoter. Such an unpleasant scene to watch. Feels like I’m in a wet market rather than a department store.

I bought house hold items at their atrium sales. I wonder why same items was not available and you need to go to the atrium to get the sale price?

Used to a wonderful Japanese dept store.it is declining over the years. I love sushi counter and the food fair held quite regularly to represent different Japanese prefectures.

Fantastic shop, from the top floor with kids and household things to basements with assortment of great Japanese products including sweets and food

Favorite place after watching movie. Definitely a good place to looks for clothes and luggage. There are having item sales currently and you might need to take a look on those such as g-star raw, Adidas, superdry etc.

Definitely got a better deal if you are isetan member.

Spent 2 weeks scouting for shoes for an upcoming event and was pleasantly surprised at the wide range of ladies footwear in Isetan. I'm impressed.

It’s a big supermarket and you can get discounts a lot of meat and milk and fruits vegetables it has ice cream too. Better than the fairprice finest in Scotts Square and not many sauces

Its ok ok - not so different than others, same same stuffs not crowded and able to shop around conveniently.the assistants not so friendly, not energetic to promote might be due to lack of sales incentives

FANTASTIC Customer Service from ADAM GU from SnowDown Bedding So very patient, personal, courteous and helpful. 5* out of 5*! Unfortunately I cannot say same of a female staff at Takashimaya branch.

Kudos also to Sharon Boey of Caville Bedding. Patient, personable and helpful.

These 2 person have made shopping an enjoyable experience for me and other customers whom I observed interacting with them.

One of the few Japan style department stores still in operation. Supermarket and food outlets on the basement level are superb.

I am sorry that I can't seem to remember the name of this f&b outlet. This looks simple but it was so tasty & there's no meat in this particular bowl, so it's vegetarian friendly

The Isetan basement 1 security guards are totally a joke. The malay security guard was plain rude and attitude was condescending.

The place needs a directory at the escalator areas for customers to know what to expect for each level. Usually go there for their private sales.
