iO Italian Osteria reviews
50 Beef with mashed potato - 3.75 stars
Beef was tender and flaky. We prefer chunkier mashed potatoes - this reminded me too much of KFC's.
Asparagus and prawn pasta - 3.5 stars
Pasta texture wasn't quite al dente. Not sure the combination worked for me.
Fried seafood - 3 stars
Not flavourful.
Food is good although price can be more friendly.
Service needs to be worked on, especially by the Italian lady and Filipino ladies at the front counter. Both were cold, ignoring queuing customers. They need to have better queue management as people were cutting queue or not knowing where to queue. Ground staff were quick and accommodating though.
Atmosphere can be improved. Too many tables, too closed to each other.
Great atmosphere, cozy environment. Food is pretty good. Lots of wine selection (although we did not order any).
Love everything about this place! 2nd visit and the food never disappoint Tried The stuffed truffle cream pizza was delicioussss but do eat hot when served! Always so packed but dining space is fine. Overall service is okay too, waited for awhile for our bill as the cashier was on the line doing reservations.
For the food quality and very lively vibe, it is money well spent. Pizza, pork, dessert, all good.
Nothing mind blowing but very consistent with the quality of food. Great price for delicious food. The place is dangerously packed with people. Got fire jialat
Good food at reasonable price, stuffs are patience & friendly. Usual going places for meal with friends or family. They have pretty good selection on food. Highly recommended to make reservation before you go!
Enjoyed a Sunday lunch here. The food is awesome and service is good. The sandwich is quite spot-on.
Pork knuckle is the favourite. Quite authentic pastas but need to improve the menu to make it truly Italian as when they first started. I noticed that the Italian owner and chefs are no longer there.
Went for a late lunch on a weekday. The place was almost full, had a short wait for the staff to prep the table. Was seated next to the glass window & the heat from outside can be felt, would suggest to put up some window film or screen. Nice interior though.
Quite nice tasting Italian pasta with nothing over empowering, nice touch… will opt for the octopus at next visit.
Excellent food! IO brings to life a taste of Italy's homecooked food. Great place for dinner or just take away the pizza anytime!
The street food snacks were amazing. The mains missed the mark by a whole lot. I visited the restaurant because Etna was a great restaurant, but this is really awful.
The BEST Italian restaurant in the West of Singapore and definitely one of the top italian restaurants in the country. It gets jam packed during dinner so reservations will be necessary, ambience is very authentic, except for the English spoken here, you may start to think you were in a cozy eatery somewhere in Italy!
Great pasta pizza and beer. One staff was rude with his loud EXCUSE ME when i was standing at the tiny little walkway. For first time experience and seeing the crowd, i think this restaurant still deserves full marks. For hygience they actually plastic wrap the open concept kitchen. Good job.
Perfect place for a Sunday night dinner with the family to wind down. The portion are not too bad. The food is good and your order comes very quickly.
Great food. Get the truffle stuffed bread. Quite pricey tho, no need to order a lot as you will get full on bread
Great atmosphere, sitting at bar is an interesting experience, recommended for small group (2-3 pax)
This place is appears to be a genuine Italian run osteria. The food is pretty good. We enjoyed the lasagna, panchetta and the mains. The pizza is 'ok' but i wouldnt recommend it highly because it's premade and then they reheat it for you. (Ive been told pizza is not real restaurant food in certain circles, it's street food)
The draft beer is very light tasting. I enjoyed it
For dessert, the tiramisu & lava cake are nice. The lime sorbetto is refreshing but some may find it sour.
Great authentic italian food in Singapore for a really decent price. Great atmosphere, knowledgable staff and a culinarily interesting experience.
We look forward to its opening of new outlet in a more accessible location. The current location is inconveniently situated in the west. Given a more central location, business can be expected to be a brisk. The food here are authentically Italian. We are delectably impressed with the quality of food and its recipe. The bakery section of the resto is a good option for people who wishes to bring home Italian bakery and pizza if they are not dining in. There are also some Italian produce sold here. The crew here are ok, but owner is exceptionally friendly to fellow Italian. It is a cozy restaurant and ambient is good to enjoy a lunch there with friends.
