Don Don Prawn Noodles 咚咚虾面 reviews
45In my opinion the best prawn noodle soup. The soup base is thick and flavorful, will shock you pleasantly.
The best prawn noodles I’ve had! Super big prawns which are only cooked upon order so be prepared to wait 15-20mins for your noodles! However, I heard you can call ahead to order, so that is awesome. Atmosphere here is warm as it is set in a hawker center, but food and service is 5 starred!
The shrimp noodles here are quite a hit. Soup also has depth. Pork ribs are also great. The store clerk is also nice. And perhaps because many hawker stalls here are closed, it's quiet and airy, so you don't have to rush to eat. It's nice to relax.
Try the prawn noddle because of the good review. However, the soup base is not my preference type.
A very good bowl of prawn mee. Definitely one of the best. Fulfils all of the requirements of a good bowl of the ideal prawn mee.
Firstly, the soup. One look and stir you could just tell how much goodness is in the soup. And of course evidently when I tried it and also you can see in the picture, it’s rich, depth in flavour. And also, the soup has zero msg so rest assured you won’t get thirsty and it’s all natural umami. This just means the soup has a lot of goody and fresh stuff.
Secondly the prawn. Just look at the picture of the prawn. This isn’t the plastic prawn or the soggy prawns you get from a normal bowl of prawn mee. It is fresh and isn’t overcook nor undercook. And most importantly the prawn tasted sweet and clean. Not something you often get from the small prawn version in contrast to the big prawn in an average prawn mee stall
And thirdly the pork ribs. Oh damn the pork ribs. I was just thinking I’d rather eat this over BKT pork ribs. The meat just slides out easily with my chopsticks and also fragrant and sweet when eaten. If not the best pork ribs in any prawn mee stall
Strongly advise to try this prawn mee when you’re around this area. And especially so if you’re considering the popular prawn mee stall nearby that is severely overpriced
Fairly normal prawn noodle stall that you'll be able to find at the usual hawker centres. Nothing fancy, nothing too wow.
Quite a nice bowl of prawn noodle soup. It is quite popular so you may need to wait a bit at times. If you are ordering the bowls with ribs, very tender meat for you to eat. May be a little strong for the pallette if you are taking soup option, but I like it.
As a Penangite, i think this is best prawn noodle in SG! It's different kind of prawn noodle (brown soup) compare to the one we had in Penang (red soup), but it's comparable and very tasty. The prawn is very fresh, look at the size of prawn you'll know why it selling at $5/$6. We're definitely coming back for more
I ordered soup based pork rib with prawn with yellow noodle and thick mee hoon mixed. First, I appreciate the way they cook and serve as they have d thick mee hoon cook first b4 noodle to avoid the noodle being overdone. Then they pour d soup thru a sieve.
Their prawn and pork rib are fresh and taste nice (above ave) but the crown goes to their soup (by far d best I had in Sg). It is thick, flavorful and not overly sweet.
I certainly will be back despite it is kind of out d way.
Easily One of the best in Singapore. Price is totally reasonable given the amount of ingredients and the very rich soup which must have taken the owner a lot of effort to prepare. Owner is very friendly. Found them when they were very new and happy to see them gaining good traction since they started.
Superb bowl of prawn noodles found at this hawker centre.
The noodles were delicious and full of flavours. And the soup was uniquely tasty. It was umami and had a slight herbal taste to it.
The combo set with 2 big prawns cost $14.80. You can liver and intestines for another $3. Might be slightly pricier but certainly worth it!
This is so delicious. Add liver and intestines. The liver was nicely cooked. (Like half cooked half uncooked style) the soup is super tasty. I ordered jumbo prawn which is alittle more ex. ($17.80 w liver and intestines)
A prawn noodle stall at circuit road hawker centre that I have previously chanced upon while I was dinning there. This was actually my second time there. The first time I was there, they were closed for a period. Happen to be around that area and decided to drop by and see if they were open. Glad to see them open upon reaching the hawker centre. They offer different type of prawn noodles with prices ranging from SGD$4.50 to SGD$15.80. The stall is run by a group of ladies.
Ordered the pork ribs and prawn noodle which was SGD$5.50. The bowl of noodle came with generous amount of pork ribs but only 2 half prawns and a few slices of fishcake. Soup was very rich has a robust flavor and on the saltier side. Ribs were tender and prawns were fresh.
Overall, it was okay but nothing special for me. Positive side, they have many additional items that you can add on. They also sell achar.
Promising new stall. Soup is flavourful without been overladen with msg. Chilli is unique. Accepted their offer to remove head and shell and angkar prawn ended up a little overcooked. Maybe they shouldn’t do that as also make the naked prawn tony looking.
A tiny bit too salty for my taste but very nice. My sister recommended this place as she love it too! I got the prawn and pork tail noodles. They gave me a large fat piece of tail. Not sure if I love it or not since I’ve never tried a cut like this before. Overall very good portion and favors, would come back again.
One of the best prawn mee, soup not oily and prawn very fresh. Stall is very Clean

One of the best-tasting prawn mee in SG, if not the best. Soup is rich with prawn and pork flavours but not overly so, because it's balanced out with the natural sweetness of carrots (I think) which make it very drinkable and SHIOK. And then there's fresh and succulent prawns + excellently tender and well-marinated pork ribs + well-done noodle texture. Dry mee features flavourful sauce with fragrant chilli and lard.
This is a wonderfully cohesive and SHIOK bowl of prawn mee that's made with care. Got me and my fam totally impressed on the first visit, so we came back, got impressed again, and decided yes we're definitely returning next time. Can travel for this.
The noodles was chewy but the flavour seems very comparable to most of the prawn noodles at other places.
Ordered the prawn noodles and also the pork rib noodles. The pork rib noodles were only pork ribs. It’s not the combo with the the prawns. So it’s only pork ribs noodles.
Ingredients were too little, especially the pork rib. Given only 2-3 small pieces. Not worth it for the price paid. Would rather patronize other stalls when I’m there
Really rich soup that hit the spot. The prawns were fresh and very tasty. Pork ribs were tender and falling off the bone. Probably the best pork ribs I've had in prawn mee.
Was at Don Don Prawn Noodle for lunch on Saturday 20/8/22. A friend recommended me. After taking the soup version I wanted to have another dried version because it was so yummy. But was full already The soup was sweet and tasty yet not salty the prawns where so nicely peeled and cleaned! Never had such a “clean prawns”from any prawn noodle shops ever. The fried shallots and crispy lard also made by the stall not the commercial types Boss was nice too! I will go back soon for the dried prawn noodles!
