Brotzeit German Beer Bar and Restaurant - VivoCity

I popped my cherry at the VivoCity Brotzeit outlet, and it was a paradise for all the smoking enthusiasts out there (yes, I meant myself).

When it comes to the food and drinks, they've nailed the art of consistency. Each outlet is like a clone of the other, with a taste that's almost 90% similar. I guess the leftover 10% is based on luck.

As a first-timer here, I can't really fault them for being average. It's just one of those things, everyone needs a warm-up round to get into the swing of things.

This place is a great choice if you're looking to have a fantastic weekend gathering with your bros. It's got that special vibe that makes you feel right, surrounded by good company and great drinks.

Last but foremost, Erdinger Dunkel is the best beer in Brotzeit.

Can get a bit noisy due to crowd but overall a good experience

The hubs and I were there for Couple's Night. We made reservations on their website for indoor dining at 5.30pm. It was a simple process and we were given a nice seating area.

We ordered a glass of their Oktoberfest recommended beer and the Weissbier, Dunkel which was pleasantly fruity!

For food we shared a rack of Pork Ribs (a tad too hard) but it was very flavourful. Our favourite was the Pork Crackling to go with the beer. Yums!

It's just a pity they discontinued our all time favourite the breaded Camembert with cranberry mousse.

Overall, It was a good experience anyways.

Great German sausages here. Got a Farmer's Sausage and Thuringer Pork Sausage. Preferred the Farmer's Sausage as it was juicier. But loved the mash under the Thuringer Pork Sausage!

Nothing serious I suppose - Crew managed to repeat our placed orders verbally but somehow one item was missed out during order.

Overall, place was nice.

We came along for goose week and enjoyed the delicious platter. It was made all the more special as having opted for the free flow weekend package, we were treated like Royalty by our excellent host Eric. A lovely lunch in a great location, thanks to all of the team at Brotzeit.

今天点的这 2 份 Main Course，份量其实比想象中还来得充分，再加上一杯 Mashmallows With Vanilla Syrup Campfire Latte (很特别，强力推荐) - 我和老婆几乎是撑爆肚子走出店面的。

值得一提的是，我的老婆平时是不沾咖啡的，这是她生平第一次跟我抢喝了近半 。。。

My go-to place for TGIF. Good quality food with great beers. You got to try their pork knuckle and rosti. They will never go wrong.

Schweinshaxe is deep fried, not oven cooked (even though they say it is baked in an oven). The skin is crispy but bland, but the flesh is hard, dry and uninviting.

Their gravy also tastes of nothing, which is no surprise if they didn’t cook the pork in the oven.

I took the pork bone home for my dog and put it in the pressure cooker so the tendons might actually be the right consistency.

If this pork knuckle was slow cooked I’m A Monkey’s Uncle

Popular place for a drink. Promotion not fully value for money but still good for a drink with friends

Smoking outdoor seats, when we went on Friday night, the guests are allowed to smoke at the outdoor seats. There are signs showing no smoking allowed, but the restaurant even provide the cigarette holder for the guests.

Great place and great food + drinks.
Good to catch up with friends for a relaxing time plus some great options on the menu.

Food was enjoyable as usual and the atmosphere outside is really nice. The staff were prompt, friendly, and accommodating, thank you Eric and Evelyn! The missing star was only because some items were a little under-seasoned, but not a big problem and would still definitely come back.

Fast as you just need to scan for your number and do not need to wait there. Food and beer was good if you like German food.

They have a Mon-Wed deal for oysters @ SGD 2.5 each (multiple of 6) but it ain't fresh

A great outdoor experience. Hangar Ng by the water enjoying a nice cold German Weissbier and some snacks or a hearty meal. A lot of sharing plate options available for groups of people dining.

Prices are extremely reasonable and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a drop in as a party of two… or a number of friends.

Great location, but the Bayside seating is a smoking area. So for someone like me, it's a no-go zone. This place has a nice vibe and the staff is super as well. But the selection of German beers and the Apple Strudel could be much much better. For a place that is specialist German, they should definitely seek out much better brews and jack up their dishes to be really authentic.
