Amy's School of Dance reviews
37 Dedicated teachers and team at ASOD!
We enrolled Lynn since she’s 3 and she has enjoyed her ballet classes with Teacher Tricia:)
Teacher Tricia is a very patient and passionate teacher whom always motivates the kids during their classes. Appreciate the parent sit in sessions whereby we can watch our little ballerina present to us what they have learnt too.
Thank you ASOD for cultivating her passion and interest and hoping she is able to continue to pursue in ballet in years to come!
Inflexible management and we were ripped off 20% of the term fees when my daughter did not attend any class in the new term at all.
We had paid the term fees in advance and my daughter said she did not wish to continue the class. We informed the management in the first week of January (3 Jan), before my daughter class even started on Saturday (8 Jan). The management refused to return us the full fees, and charged us 20% of admin fee, which is $52.
I was told there was a try out for new uniform end of December hence wished to inform the management during that period. But no one contacted us in December and the school was closed in December period too.
We reasoned with the owner Amy who told us she reserved our place for us. Fine. We asked her to reduce the admin charge to 10% and we would be willing to go, but she refused. She was using this opportunity to rip us off our money.
Think twice before u sign ur kids up for this school.
My daughter has been attending ballet at ASOD since K2 (2019) and she absolutely enjoys her weekly classes. The teachers and staff are very professional, friendly and responsive. This school is not just about business as they also organise extra events during school holidays like movie screening and dancing with parents. They really put in a lot of effort to make the kids happy. This is definitely a fun school to introduce your girl to the world pf dancing.
My gal attends Jazz class at ASOD since 3 yrs old. She is now 9 yrs old and has progressed so much. I always look forward to watch her dance routine during parents sit in or concert.
The Dance Teachers are very professional and my child has learnt various dance styles from them.
I am happy to see the smile that glows after the classes.
One of the best dance schools in Singapore.
Cheap and Underrated.
We enrolled our elder son when he was 3 and he had a really enjoyable time learning hip-hop for four years. Last year, we started our shy daughter in preschool ballet. She was initially very hesitant to even enter the classroom. However the teachers and staff were really caring and patient, and encouraged her every week. Now she is a happy dancer. Highly recommended school as the teachers are very experienced, enthusiastic and encouraging.
My daughter has started to learn ballet at Amy’s school since 4 years old. She always look forward to her ballet classes. Her teachers and staff there have been very friendly and dedicated to give their best. She also enjoys all the holiday programs, especially the kpop dance class.
Emma told us at 4yo that she wanted to learn ballet. We went to different dance schools for trials and absolutely fell in love with ASOD. 6 years on and she still enjoys going to class with Teacher Annabelle every week. We are also grateful to Teacher Amy for bring open to Emma taking up Wushu, for which her ballet background provided her with a strong core and flexibility. Highly recommended for aspiring little dancers!
A school that goes above and beyond for each and every family. Children’s well-being are their utmost priority. Teacher Amy constantly emphasises that ASOD is a dance family. What her staff and her has done for my family is beyond words. My daughter has been with ASOD for 7 years now, and she has received nothing less than the best. Heartfelt thanks Amy and all your staff, for the amazing work you do! ️
My little one has been learning ballet from Amy's since she was 3.5yo. She loves coming to class and simply enjoys her lessons with Teacher Annabelle whom has taught her since. She's P2 now, and her elegance as a dancer is showing beautifully!
Absolutely recommend! My daughter has grown up attending Hip Hop dance classes here since 2017 and she loves it. Everyone is friendly and warm, all the staff make the effort to get to know each child (and parent/helper) personally. They have done a great job getting through all the curve balls thrown at them due to Covid and have taken lessons online, with physical lessons resuming once able to. Parents also get to sit in from time to time and there is an annual concert that we all look forward to attending.
My daughters go to ASOD and are enjoying the classes. They love their teacher as she helps them out with difficult steps and keeps an eye on all the kids equally.
I would like to share that my girl enjoy her lesson at Amy's school of dance. The Teachers are caring, responsible and patience. Keep it up!
The teachers here are really patient and will ensure that you understand what's going on before they move on. The teachers will also make sure that each student can dance to the best of their ability and will sometimes teach extra things to widen the students' knowledge. They also offer many opportunities like competitions and performances and it is a very enjoyable experience.
My two daughters love every single moment at Amy School of Dance! The teachers there are full of passion and super sweet towards the young ones! This is definitely the place to go build your child's passion for dance and performing arts!
I'm so glad I decided to let my girl join Amy's School of Dance since she was seven. My girl has been learning jazz since then and she is very fortunate to have fantastic teachers who are always so patient and encouraging towards the students. My girl looks forward to every lesson, to learn dancing and also to have fun to take away the stress from her studies. The owner and the teachers are very warm and friendly, they make an effort to know the students well too. We also love and look forward to attending their yearly concert each year.
My boy has been learning dance at Amy’s school of dance for 2 years. I appreciate ASOD for being structured in their teaching. As a parent, I can see clearly what they are covering for the term. The Teachers are dedicated and follow through with them. There is so minimal swops or turnover of staff unless for a very good reason, and this is unlike many of the other dance schools in Singapore. Also they charge a reasonable cost and no gimmicks, no hard selling for you to pay more and more as you need to progress.
My two girls thoroughly enjoy their classes at Amy's School of Dance. My older girl is learning ballet and hip hop, and my younger one is learning ballet. The teachers are passionate, dedicated and are able to keep the children engaged. Even when lessons had to be taken online due to covid restrictions, I can feel their passion and enthusiasm for dance and teaching from the way they make their videos and conduct their zoom classes. We have been with Amy's School of Dance for more than 6 years now and turnover of teachers and other staff has been extremely low which minimises any disruption to the dancers' learning. Pricing is reasonable and the owner's passion and commitment in nurturing young dancers is evident.
My girl had learnt all the way with them and she enjoys dancing a lot and center is very professional both in teaching and administration. Highly recommended.
My eldest daughter started learning dance at ASOD since she was 4yo. From one genre she expanded to two genres of dance. ASOD has played an important role in harnessing her interest in dance and she enjoys the classes despite tiredness at times. My second daughter subsequently also started learning ballet there when she was 4yo. The staff and teachers have been professional in their teaching and communication with parents. Especially during Covid period when there were multiple disruptions to classes, ASOD always provided prompt updates to parents and also took extra care to ensure the safety and well-being of the children. It has been a good experience with ASOD and I would recommend them for young children exploring a beginning interest in dance.
